Shar.cc Temporary Event Registration Pilot Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the temporary Shar.cc early access registration pilot at shar.cc and join.shar.cc. The pilot is operated by Shar.cc. By creating an account or using the authenticated pilot, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Notice, and the Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to agree to these Terms. You must provide accurate account information and keep your email address and account credentials under your control.

2. Temporary pilot account

The pilot account is a temporary registration account. It is not a live creator account and does not grant Baseline, Pro, Premium, a workspace, a site, publication, billing, a capability, an entitlement, or a guaranteed place in a future product release.

Shar.cc may change, suspend, replace, migrate, or discontinue the pilot. Features and availability may change without creating a paid-service commitment.

3. Passwords and account security

You are responsible for using a strong unique password and for activity performed through your account. Notify support@shar.cc promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Shar.cc may require email re-verification, password reset, additional security steps, or account suspension when needed to protect the pilot or its users.

4. Provisional username reservation

An email-verified active pilot account may reserve one provisional username while the reservation feature is available.

A provisional username:

• is not a public Shar.cc URL or final route claim
• does not create a creator site
• cannot be sold, transferred, traded, or held on behalf of another person
• may be released if the account is deactivated
• may require revalidation or reconfirmation during migration
• may be rejected, corrected, or unavailable later because of protected names, existing claims, technical rules, legal concerns, impersonation concerns, abuse, or the main application's then-current policy

Shar.cc does not guarantee that a provisional username will become your final username.

5. Invite Codes

Pilot Invite Codes are used for attribution and may qualify the Early Access pilot badge. They do not grant creator access, a paid benefit, a discount, a subscription, an entitlement, or guaranteed future access.

Do not sell, scrape, automate, or misrepresent Invite Codes.

6. Pilot badges

Pre-Alpha, Early Access, and Twitch Connected badges are temporary dashboard recognition. They are not verification marks, trust indicators, subscriptions, entitlements, ownership rights, or guaranteed Shar.cc badge awards. Shar.cc may correct or remove a badge when its qualifying data is incorrect, reversed, or no longer valid.

7. Optional Twitch connection

When available, Twitch linking is optional and is not required for registration or provisional username eligibility. You authorize Shar.cc to receive the limited identity information described in the Privacy Notice.

Twitch is a separate service. Shar.cc is not responsible for Twitch availability, account decisions, or changes. Twitch is a trademark of Twitch Interactive, Inc. Shar.cc is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Twitch.

8. Marketing consent

Marketing consent is optional and separate from these Terms. Shar.cc may still send transactional messages needed for verification, password recovery, security, and account operation.

9. Acceptable use

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use the pilot to break the law, impersonate others, abuse usernames or Invite Codes, interfere with service operation, test security without authorization, automate registrations, evade rate limits or bot protection, or harm Shar.cc or another person.

10. Deactivation, suspension, and restoration

Shar.cc may deactivate or restrict a pilot account to protect security, integrity, availability, users, or legal interests, or to address a violation of these Terms.

Deactivation revokes sessions and releases any provisional username. It does not necessarily delete the account or all retained information. Shar.cc may restore an account, but restoration does not reclaim a username that another person reserved after release.

11. Migration and password reset

If pilot information is migrated into the main Shar.cc application, you may be required to create a new password, verify your email again, reconnect Twitch, accept new policies, or reconfirm a provisional username. Shar.cc may decline to import data that is inconsistent, unsafe, duplicative, or incompatible with the main application.

12. Intellectual property

Shar.cc names, logos, software, designs, and original site materials belong to the operator or applicable licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You retain rights in information you provide, subject to the limited permission Shar.cc needs to store, process, secure, display to you, export, and migrate that information for pilot operation.

13. Third-party services

The pilot may depend on hosting, email, bot-protection, DNS, TLS, and optional Twitch services. Shar.cc is not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or terms, although Shar.cc will use reasonable efforts to operate the pilot safely.

14. Availability and changes

The pilot is provided on an experimental, pre-alpha basis. Shar.cc does not promise uninterrupted operation, a launch date, a specific feature set, permanent storage, permanent username availability, or continued operation of the project.

Shar.cc may pause registration, username reservation, Twitch linking, or the entire pilot at any time for security, maintenance, abuse, operational, legal, or migration reasons.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the pilot is provided as available and without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shar.cc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, data, reputation, or profits arising from the pilot. Any direct liability that cannot be excluded will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the pilot or USD 25. The pilot currently has no direct Shar.cc fee.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Changes to these Terms

Shar.cc may update these Terms as the pilot changes. A new version and effective date will be published. Continued authenticated use may require acceptance of the updated version.
